Ok things i don't get about limits. Well... i don't get the ones that involve cos, tan, sin or any of the other ones like that. Examples of those are numbers 3 and 7 on the latest test.
i also do not get the ones that say as x reaches infinity like number 4 on the test.
and i also don't get the ones that have as x aproches 0 (i thought i did but i dont)
yup that is all i can think of at the moment.

I can help you with number four on the test. First i did the end-behavior model of the problem, so i got 1/x. Then, i plugged in infinity for x, so i got 1/infinity. And then i thought "hmmm 1 divided by infinity would be close to what number ?" And i realized it would be a tiny number, one very close to 0, so close, that it actually becomes 0. So then, the answer is A.) 0.
ReplyDeleteAs x-->0, just try plugging the number in. If you can't, try simplifying it first. If you still can't, then it's probably an asymptote. Check the numbers super close to 0 from the left and from the right.
